Dropdown text and Expanding text are useful ways of entering additional information that is not needed for all readers. This could be extra information for novices or experts that is not needed by the general reader.
They are created using these icons on the authoring toolbar.
Simply select some text and click one of the icons.
The selected text will be the hotspot and will display as shown. Below the paragraph you will see an area to enter the dropdown content.
Whatever you enter between the brackets is what will appear in the dropdown that users see. It remains visible in Edit mode, click Preview to see what your users will see.
You can apply a style to the dropdown content from Properties > Element.
Expanding text works in the same way except the content is entered alongside.
